Types of corundum maybe but I think that’s a stretch. Sapphire is (usually) blue Al2O3. Ruby is red Al2O3. Transparent aluminum is Al2O27N5.

Scotty would be proud.
The delay also does not trigger just once; it is reportedly triggered every time YouTube links are opened in a new tab.
This part got me yesterday as I was listening to music. I loaded a new video in a tab and the other tab waited 5 seconds. I thought I had paused it or something but nope, every time you load a new tab it delays all the other tabs by 5 seconds.
Fuck them. I’ll continue to post the full article if someone asks for a paywall bypass. Information should be free.
They work. I ride mtb downhill in a jungle and I haven’t had a puncture in ages.
Or if you know how to track stand.
Modern bikers use tubeless systems which don’t generally have flats. They are filled with a compound that plugs up holes as soon as they happen. You only get flats for large holes or sidewall punctures.
Remember folks, if you see someone shoplifting food, no you didn’t.

Sometimes mods are asleep or not locked to their desks. Downvotes help get shit like that (pun fully intended) out of most peoples feeds unless they are browsing by new or are way way way down on the hot scroll list.
Anyone who cares about downvotes needs to get their head examined. A downvote can mean the person doesn’t agree with your comment, doesn’t like your tone, thinks you are incorrect, thinks the comment doesn’t add to the discussion, hell they could downvote you just because they don’t like your username. None of that matters. All it does is show you if your comment goes against the zeitgeist or not.
I like the communities around here. Different ones are larger here than on The-Site-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named which gives it a different feel. And people seem to be more apt to have discussions instead of getting crabby. Also seem to be fewer bots.
Betteridge’s law (of headlines) is an adage that states “Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no.”
No way this can go horribly wrong. Nope.
Yeah. It was confusing for me the first few times I tried to comment on kbin users from the web. Same deal with no error. I just clicked things til it worked and the only thing that did work was choosing a language instead of leaving it undetermined. Maybe it’s some weird api issue.
Usually I have to choose my language if I reply to kbin users. Choose the same language they posted in. It’s usually a tag near the post title.
Weird. He was so good at paying his rent and other bills. /S
This is gonna make my Miles Morales cosplay really standout from the crowd.
Any corundum without trace elements is colorless. Corundum with trace chemical impurities makes the gems we know. Chromium gives the red to rubies, sapphire has iron and titanium, you can get other colors using vanadium or different ratios. Gems are neat.
