Did you happen to vote for him or did any Chinese person vote for him?

Some people don’t like ableism in their communities either…
I mean you aren’t wrong but the way you go about writing comments leaves something to be desired.
They already have tools to censor these things in a variety of ways to make it not look totally off, absolute scumbags.
Spez likely doesn’t want an alternative that is doing well being advertised on r/place, I wouldn’t be surprised if admins didn’t do some sussy deleting like they have before.
The only “good” thing would be more contributors but I sure af dont’ want to be federated with them.
Don’t like it personally you can’t trust these companies to do anything but be malicious actors, it might drive more users to the rest of the fedverse but there are huge risks and these companies have already broken laws time and time again.
I think it’s just a sign that echo chambers are bad, while yes you should block some communities that are bad actors or host illegal content. You shouldn’t block everything that you don’t like. Reddit almost feels the same way these days but from the left perspective. Politics does crazy stuff to people, it’s wild.
It won’t matter if you block communities from lemmygrad they will come to your posts and comments especially if they are pro west, leftist, capitalist, anti china etc…

If you are those things they literally hate you, if you post in their instance and are anti china you will be banned. It’s a giant echo chamber and they want to be able to post in your instances and communities. There is not point talking to them since they are hyper fixated on that, just browse their instance. Most other spicy instances at least know and tell their users to keep spicy shit inside their own instance and not take it elsewhere.
Go look over lemmygrad.ml and decide on how much you want to argue with passionate communist and tankies everywhere. Lemmygrad.ml will brigade posts and comments on other instances they are allowed on to spread their beliefs and they are not interested in the same happening on their own instance.
I wonder if reddit killing apps will results in a lot more lemmy users, time will tell.
Is posting about Donald or the American right “nazi shit?” It specifically has to be nazi shit to be nazi shit.
More drama now targeting sowing discord between the large communities. The Donald sucks but if we remove them then we have to make rules to what communities we will now allow or not. Can’t just make special rules for one person.
You guys haven’t even defederated from exploding head yet… Also the dude gave us voting rights so it would be up to the Agora and vote.
I think obviously botted instances that aren’t doing anything about it should be defederated. It can only cause harm to communities that allow those bots to interact with them.
I saw that but that was a /pol/ chatbot just regurgitating things people said you don’t exactly have to write intelligent comments on /pol/, 90% of the people there write like bots. My guess performance in a slower board like /lit/ or somewhere that requires more knowledge of subject matters and where people write more intelligently it would be called out.
I was messing around with that dudes chatbot OpenAssistant and while interesting it fails the same way all the others do once pressed hard enough (which isn’t that hard). These bots seem to do best when you just ask them to regurgitate something from their training library. Which is why non programmers are amazed by it’s programming skill (copy pasting from github repo’s and stackoverflow) vs devs in the field asking it novel questions and not getting anything interesting out of it.
It would but it looks like when a new instance is spun up it’s just auto federated? Looking at https://sh.itjust.works/instances we see only one instance that has been blocked and that was our favorite and just admin blocking it. So someone creates and instance and can just spam a thousand other instances before everyone wises up and blocks them? I could be wrong but that’s what it looks like to me.
One of those servers has 30k users but no posts or communities. Makes me think if I was a bad actor other then creating bot account on normal instances I would make my own instance and fill it with bots. If it’s federated it can still interact with other instances.
Dead internet theory but I doubt chatbots are that advanced yet. They can’t write compelling and complex comments that depend on convoluted chains of logic, and respond to novels ideas and topics. Eventually.
It’s also probably rewarding for people who can put half the time into something and get 2x the result vs just normal people grinding slowly.
