Blatant Chinese propaganda on Lemmy.ml. Name a more iconic duo
Yet you still see people grumbling about how restrictions on chinese EV imports are just “American/Western Imperialism”, since people apparently don’t understand how valueable domestic production is
Tbf, everyone would have defederated from it anyways
It’s there to continue inflating Nvidia stocks now that crypto crashed (again)
And it’s pretty consistent for Linus too. He’s been making this rant on WAN show since ChatGPT started gaining traction
but damn if it isn’t extremely effective at sending information out of reach from governments
It’s not particularly better at it than most other social media sites/apps
In SO you likely get few but good answers Are we talking about the same website? The absolute worse advixe I’ve even recieved for coding has come from Srack Overflow. Hell, I once needed help with Arduino code - the only user who bothered answering stated they didn’t know how to do it in Arduino so he wrote the solution in Java. Then I tried it out they Java and their solution was completely wrong.
You say that as if the garbage gets downvoted
One time I was went on there to figure out an issue in Arduino. The answer one guy gave was “I don’t know how to do this in Arduino, here’s how you do this in Java”. Not only the the mods prevent any other answers from being posted, I tried the guy’s suggestion in Java and it didn’t even work
Agreed. Russia needs to pull out of Ukraine
EDIT: Is it just me, or is it weird that I got downvoted on lemmy.ml for suggesting a country should stop being an imperialistic, kleptocratic aggressor state
I thought the EU was in the process of carving out an exception for non-profit organizations
You can check all your games on ProtonDB. That being said, almost any single player game will work. Same with any multiplayer game that doesn’t insist on poorly implemented anti-cheat
Lemmy.ml moment
Per your previous comment:
Yeah, not “incorrect,” just non-standard. The yardstick is:
Clearly, he was able to get there so it’s firmly in “acceptable use.”
I’m not the one conflating the two concepts.
The yardstick is: did your interpretation match the intended one?
I think that’s just you. There’s a few examples of rules in English that aren’t required to get a point across, but sentences that break them sound grating. One such example is adjective order
Heads up, “I’ve” is not grammatically correct when “have” is your verb. Using “have” in a contraction when you’re using past-perfect tense. For example, “I’ve been” is an acceptable shortening of “I have been”.
Tbf, the NIMBY fuckwads make it difficult to build new train routes
And it’s a shell of it’s former self. A lot of the serious members switched to c/piracy, db0 being the prime example
Threads allegedly has 100’s of millions of users, plus it’s not even federated with Mastodon. There’s no way that Threads users are counted in the Mastodon statistics
