I think kbin has a good aproach to this, a completely different tab that allows you to make posts in the mastodon format. This could also be the case on lemmy some point, however I would understand if lemmy users don’t want this at all.
I think with time, compatibility between different services will become better, so far with lemmy limited compatibility and kbin with full compatibility, we are going in a good direction
Where do we leave the bug reports? this post seems to be kinda buggy: https://enterprise.lemmy.ml/post/416733
The greedy always forget their riches came from other people.
Hey kbin users if you want to block this domain just go to https://kbin.social/d/exploding-heads.com and block that domain there.
I understand, if you are interested you can join /kbin’s matrix room to keep an eye on the work that’s being put into the development of /kbin.
Kbin is a newer project, the admin needs time to organize it, 2 weeks ago was just a hobby project, now it has +30k users.
I can say he is actively working on making it easier for admins and mods to regulate content.
I want something that just works and is well refined.
Not trying to be rude or anything but, if you are trying to replace reddit with another reddit this won’t work out for you. Lemmy is not and will never be Reddit. It will never have the same functions and bugs will show up sometimes, why?, because this project is funded by normal people, they aren’t making any money at all.
I’m not saying that you should be ashamed of expressing your opinion, but please keep in mind that this project is fueled by passion and love. You could focus your time in trying to make it better rather than just pointing out problems that people are actively trying to solve.
But yeah keep going back to their site and watch their ads, that’ll show them for sure.

Funny thing is, this is exactly what reddit wants. When it’s time to show the traffic after API shutdown they’ll show the traffic of all the users that are protesting, and guess what, it’ll be higher than before the API shutdown
