As stupid as the apple glasses are, the gesture function sure seems like it would work well with something like this.

Strolling into the supermarket like whadup.
You’re like me you just don’t like user-based sites, I simply much prefer to follow topics than people, I fucking hate people why would I follow them online.
That’s the emo version.
The fediverse is beautiful ❤️
Just curious, did this comment originate from mastodon? (Reading this on Lemmy).
This also works with other fields. I’m pretty sure I’ll have these confidence swings my whole life regardless how good I get at anything.
Which was always going to happen if Lemmy is to grow. This is fine, decentralisation is what this is made for, so if you want a vanilla experience with only clean sfw content, you can register to instances A B or C, if you fancy some more open internet, then instances X Y or Z might be more for you.
I’m nicer and more importantly, it doesn’t make me rage on a regular basis like I used to.
Exactly how I feel! I don’t care at all what happens on the other site. This whole thing opened my eyes to what it has become, and it’s not just the API, that place has become toxic af.
Good tip, sounds better than Fediverse to be honest.

A lot of city centers in Europe are like that but there’s definitely been an effect of suburbanization due to prices rising in the centers.
While completely different, the best place I know for what you describe is Hong Kong, you can go down to grab a bite within 50m, pretty much 24/7.
These kinds of topics always get the “if it doesn’t work for every single use case, it’s useless”.
This is a case by case kind of thing, each building should be examined and choose the appropriate new use for it.
Like a bird migration, the chairs will migrate from commercial offices to home offices.
Make apartments on the sides and use the middle for cool stuff like cinema rooms and ball pits.
Small businesses on lower floors, apartments up top, I fail to see a problem.
While pro has been misused a lot, I feel like it still has it’s original meaning at least with people, if not in marketing. That is, that if you’re a pro, you’re earning money doing the thing.
