I had a decade old question marked as a duplicate and downvoted three times after years no no activity. SE is such a joke nowadays.
and if they ever explained the why, they would get a proper answer.
That’s funny, every time I’ve explained in detail why my question isn’t a duplicate nobody fucking cares and it still gets closed.

Edit: I’ve got insomnia and don’t have my glasses on and misread the end.
What’s the difference? I rarely use Python and every time I do I have to relearn which tools are the go to ones. In Java it’s a little simpler, we really just have Maven and Gradle. They have their own problems, sure, what tool doesn’t, but the thing that annoys me about python is the quantity of tools. There often isn’t a clear winner.
Now, to be fair to python, a lot of the ones mentioned on this post are very specifically for data science use cases and not general purpose development.
I think venv is the best because it’s built in. But I’m also not a Python dev.
No, the dependency management in Python is a nightmare. There’s like a billion options for it.
Right single quote (’) in UTF-8 (https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/U+2019) has the same bytes as ’ in cp1252 (which is more or less “ASCII” if we’re doing ELI5). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows-1252
Sometimes your keyboard or program’s settings will use right single quote for apostrophes instead of a normal apostrophe. ’ you might notice how this one is straight and not bent a certain way. This setting is often called smart quotes.
You’d need to put ’ (specifically) in place of a quotation mark. That is the cp1252 encoding of right single quote in utf 8.
“Wonder if it’ll work?”
What about compression level 1 instead of 9?
Why do you think it’s a performance hit?
You know PNG is lossless compression right?
I’m fairly certain this is a reference to a joke tweet interaction that went something like
But nobody finished the end of the interaction or it wasn’t in the screenshot.

🤓 Sci-tastic!
No they don’t :(
Sorry, I meant for a “normal” A to B cord lol.
It’s grim, but think about it like this. If you were in the gardening industry, wouldn’t it be good for business if your neighbor started a garden in their yard? Even if you weren’t directly in the gardening industry they may want to buy things like decorations to go out there. More time outside? Sun screen and bottled water are things you’ll need. Plastic bad for the environment? Get this new reusable water bottle that everyone is using!
It’s similar with war. It’s not so much that it’s the killing specifically, but regardless, it’s a massive endeavor that needs lots of supplies. Think about all of the logistics involved in shipping someone overseas and maintaining them there. Even if companies do it for cheaper, they’re not going to do it at a loss. The same way we see companies getting excited to cash in on the AI craze, we’ll see companies excited to try and extract whatever possible value they can out of war.
And honestly, same thing with genocide.
