I laughed when lex was like wow it doesn’t even feel awkward that I’m right in face and zuc said nah it does
The new demo looked pretty insane. After watching it I was like ah fuck thats gonna be the future
If you fuck up that badly you shouldn’t be allowed to operate in that industry.
Let beehaw do beehaw things and don’t worry too much about it.
Don’t believe things just because you see other people doing so. Other than that I don’t know what can be done beyond community moderation. But eventually the bad actor would get into a position for community moderation since they’re doing it as a full time job.
Reddit steals from all over the internet. It’s fine to grab content you like and post it here.
I hope it’s normal because I suffer from the same thing. I want to be skilled and great but I’m interested in so many things. Seems that I never get anything done because of this.
I don’t think there’s any community or platform that is not susceptible to groups of people posing as normal people and manipulating discussions.
I don’t much about mastodon. But if you say it preforms well then I believe this model works.
I want to see it grow just to prove the concept works at scale. I genuinely believe it will and I’m a cynical bastard.
There’s a reflection instance called lemmit.online that copy posts from subreddits. I’m using it to keep up with a few subreddits while I’m on holiday. When I get home I’ll setup communities on lemmy for them.
I like 4chan but I don’t try and argue I sit by and laugh at the chaos and amazing logic jumps.
The problem is that people are sick of having the same arguments over and over. I’m going to use trans people as a example. They don’t want to see people denying their existence or calling them mentally ill every day.
In my opinion free speech is very important part of the internet and its 100% been lost. Places like 4chan are good because you know it’s going to be a cesspit so if you go there and complain about what you see then you’re the fool.
However with lemmy we have the expectation of civil dialog that doesn’t offend. So if someone saw something that was offensive they have the right to complain as to why thay speech is allowed here.
The magic word is a begging eyes emoji.
I’d give him some fries since he asked nicely.
Yeah because the comment sections are smaller I feel like I need to read the article so I can make an informed relevant comment. It’s good.
Companies aren’t responsible for it so I doubt instances will get in trouble.
Thirds times the charm. We promise this one won’t have an unpatchable security vulnerabilitiy, honest g- Apple
